Swindon Supermarine are again offering the chance for teams from NWYFL to have a Match Day experience at The Webbs Wood Stadium.
Typical itinerary (based on last season) includes:-
Players/coaches/parents/siblings/grandparents arrive at the ground for 1.15pm.
Tour of the ground, facilities and ‘The Swindome’, which includes meeting the Marine first team squad in the changing rooms and have ‘selfies’ and the opportunity to ask questions to the players.
Opportunity to also meet officials and view the opponents’ changing rooms.
Youth players then accompany the two sides out onto the pitch as ‘mascots’, which includes more photos, before they return to their parents to watch the game from a reserved area in the stands.
At half time, the youngsters then come back out onto the main pitch and they play a small-sided game in front of the main stands (which always goes down brilliantly with supporters)
The youth players return to their seats to watch the second half, before departing with families after the game.
There is NO COST at all for any of this, all of the youth players and their coaches and families get free admission, all we ask is that the parents make use of the catering/bar facilities.
The Youth Coaches have the opportunity in advance of the match to email player profiles and photos of their team/individual players, plus a small write up on their club. These are then included in a colour double page spread in the Match Day Programme.
