Swindon Rangers lifted the North Wilts Youth League U16 Cup after seeing off a battling FC Chippenham side on penalties.
Chippenham created the first chance of the match with James Robinson testing Rangers keeper Nathan Townsend.
Clint Lomax then went close for Swindon Rangers before Ty Mifsud set up Charlie McCuish to neatly tap home on 13 minutes.
Sean Wilkinson then made it 2-0 after side footing into the net at the near post on 27 minutes.
FC Chippenham continued to push forward in the second half but it was Rangers who created the first meaningful chance of the second half with Callum Howse curling wide.
Finlay Taylor then made a fine save from Mifsud before Taylor Burt volleyed wide from a free-kick.
With just 15 minutes remaining, Chippenham pulled a goal back, Zach Soonsup-Bell heading home from Lewis Morrissey’s corner.
Joel Smedley then went close for Chippenham before teammate Morrissey scored a great header in off the post with just four minutes remaining to level the match.
Both sides pushed for a winner in extra-time but it was Rangers who came closest to scoring, Mifsud hitting the post from a close range header.
The match eventually went to penalties with FC Chippenham’s Oscar Webster stepping up first only to have his kick saved by Rangers keeper Townsend. Burt then sent Rangers 1-0 up with the next kick.
Caine Bradbury then got Chippenham off the mark in the shootout before Rangers’ McCuish made it 2-1.
Andrew Keightly then missed for Chippenham with Rangers’ Lomax making it 3-1.
Kyle Pogue-Elms kept Chippenham in it but Rangers made no mistake with their fourth penalty, Mifsud holding his nerve to clinch victory for his side.
