Due to work commitments, Darren Howell has taken the difficult decision to stand down as the NWYFL Chairman. He has been working with the Management Committee over the last three months to ensure a smooth handover, and the committee would like to take this opportunity to thank Darren for his professionalism and support.
Darren has made a significant contribution to the running of the league over the last 7 seasons, including as U16 Fixture Secretary, League Secretary, Referee Appointments Officer & most recently as League Chairman. Of particular note is his work as League Cup Secretary and the running of the Semi-Finals, and Cup Finals. Darren was instrumental in bringing the Cup Finals back to the County Ground, helping to make the Cup Final a fantastic experience that many players have enjoyed over the last few seasons.
Many of you will have had interactions with Darren over the years of his involvement, and I am sure will join the committee in thanking Darren and wishing him all the best for the future.
