Congratulations to all 24 teams who participated in the League Cup Semi Finals at Beversbrook on Sunday. Spectators were treated to 12 fantastic matches with several nail biting finishes, including Lydiard Youth U16’s overcoming Liden Community in the last minuted (2-1), FC Chippenham U18’s scoring twice in the last 5 minutes to beat Royal Wootton Bassett (4-3), Royal Wootton Bassett U15’s defeating Highworth Town in the last minute of extra time (1-0) whilst Fairford Town took Cirencester the distance to win on penalties after finishing the match (2-2).
Also a well done to all the match officials, some in their very first season, working closely with experienced Referees to help guide them through prestigious matches. Hopefully the experience will help them further with their Officiating careers.
